Job Description
Multiple PLC Programming Positions (full time & Project Based). Significant travel with generous expense plan. All experience levels are encouraged to apply. PA Solutions has offices in Bessemer AL, Greenville SC, and Warren, MI.
Integration Technician
Responsibilities:
- Commission PLC controllers and configure for customer site.
- Commission HMI, Vision, Networks, and connect with PLCs.
- Load software, verify implementation, execute commissioning tests.
- Assist with system integration tests.
- Apply diagnostic utilities to aid in troubleshooting.
- Identify and learn appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the PA and our customers.
- 100% remote & travel role to customer sites across the US and Canada
- Good knowledge in several of the following specialties:
- PLC (Rockwell Automation, PLCs, HMI, Siemens)
- Robot (ABB, Fanuc)
- Industrial Network (Ethernet/IP, PowerLink, ProfiNet)
- Operator Interface (Panel View Plus)
- Skills to read electrical drawings
- Ability to travel domestic and potentially international.
- Experience with motion control equipment such as VFDs.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate verbally
Education and Experience:
High school diploma
Associate /Engineering degree in a controls related field (Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent) preferred
Two plus years’ experience in PLC and HMI programming and configuration along with troubleshooting and solving software/hardware issues in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities for Health, Safety and Environment include:
Work in compliance with divisional health, safety, and environmental procedures
Refrain from removing or altering safety devices or guarding unless hazardous energies are controlled through lockout-tagout methods
Report any unsafe conditions or unsafe acts
Report defect in any equipment or protective device
Ensure that the required protective equipment is used for the assigned tasks
Attend all required health, safety, and environmental training
Report any accidents/incidents to supervisor
Assist in investigating accidents/incidents
Refrain from engaging in any prank, contest, feat of strength, unnecessary running, or rough and boisterous conduct
