Job Description
At Ensemble Health Partners, we are seeking active, engaged, and enthusiastic team members who want to work closely with patients and care givers in a non-clinical role. Billing is a vital member of the healthcare team, and is responsible for providing world class customer service to clients.

Position Summary:
The Billing Specialist is responsible to use coding data to prepare and submit clean claims to various insurance companies or governmental payers both electronically and/or by paper. The Representative will review and work daily reports to ensure that claims have been properly billed to result in payment on account. The Representative will review account specifics to evaluate and determine how to appropriately bill the claim. Following all actions, they will note all accounts appropriately, as defined by the objective quality standards. Must maintain a working knowledge and understanding of the UB-04 & 1500 form.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associates or Bachelor degree in a related field, preferred.

Experience: 2 years prior experience working with Hospital Insurance Claims and working knowledge of the Physician Revenue Cycle. Experienced working clearinghouse required.

Position requires:
  • Working knowledge of CPT/HCPCS codes
  • Excellent attention to detail - ability to note missing information or obtain required details to the account
  • Critical thinking skills - ability to comprehend tools provided for securing payment, and apply them to differing accounts to result in payment
