The Recovery Health Partner provides support to pregnant, postpartum and parenting adult patients being treated for substance use disorder based on the interdisciplinary plan of care, under the direction of an RN
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire: N/A
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment: CPR certification
Experience REQUIRED: N/A
Experience PREFERRED: 3 or more years of clinical experience in EITHER perinatal and/or mental health care
Education/training REQUIRED: Bachelor’s Degree in a human services field (counseling, psychology, social work, or related field).
Education/training PREFERRED: At least one year of supplemental related training working with emotional and mental disorders and/or women’s health
Independent action(s) required: [CM2] Functions under the direction of a LIP, manager and RN in providing relationship-based and age-specific care to pregnant, postpartum and parenting adult patients being treated for substance use disorder including emotional support using therapeutic communication, developing skills in thinking and responding, assisting with the development and maintenance of a safe and therapeutic milieu; all in accordance with hospital, nursing and unit policy/procedure. Job duties may include the handling, transportation, access to and/or contact with medications and related supplies.
Supervisory responsibilities (if applicable): N/A
Additional position requirements: Work all assigned shifts, weekends and holidays. Individual shift rotation and schedules will be established with your Nurse Manager/Practice Manager. Schedule, including requirements or assignments, is in the best interest of the work unit.
