WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Peer Recovery Specialist – is responsible for performing basic, non-clinical, direct service work that includes mentoring and supporting clients in their recovery.

This is a full-time position at 36 hours per week and includes the following responsibilities:

• Bridging care to the outpatient setting
• Working under the general supervision of the Clinical Director
• Seeing clients in agency office, client homes, and other community locations
• Traveling in your own vehicle to meet with clients

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree in Human Services preferred
• Prior experience working with inmates preferred
• Two (2) or more years of sustained recovery from substance use disorder
• Must be able to complete certification program for Peer Support, prefer those currently Certified Peer Recovery Specialist by the Florida Certification Board
• Level 2 background screen and a negative drug screen
• Professional References
• Current valid driver’s license in the State of Florida
• Proof of automobile insurance and use of a personal vehicle
