SUMMARY: Experienced Nurse Practitioner with a Pediatric or Family Medicine background.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (nothing in this job description restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time):

· Following basic clinical care standards

· Ensuring complete and timely documentation using the Company’s EMR

· Prescribing and administering medications

QUALIFICATIONS: – (Education and/or Experience): The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and or ability required:

· Nurse Practitioner Medical Degree with Board Certification

· License to practice in Maryland

· Minimum of 1 year of experience, preferably in pediatric care or family medicine.

· Orthopedic trauma management and laceration repair skills

· Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

· Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and work within a fast-paced environment

· Excellent patient management skills and solid clinical judgment

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This job operates in a healthcare setting. This role requires regular walking around the pediatric practice. This role also routinely comes into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Involves standing and walking for prolonged periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds. Requires normal visual acuity and hearing. Requires working under stress in emergency situations or during irregular hours.
