Peak Time Relationship Teller Job at Benchmark Community Bank
Serves as the first line of contact with the bank's customers, listening to their needs and providing financial products and services to meet their needs. Individual is scheduled to work Monday - Friday about 25 hours a week with flexibility to work additional hours when needed. Performs all duties in compliance with the bank's policies and procedures.
DUTIES
- Enhancing customer relationships by understanding all of the bank's products and services, initiating conversations to identify customers' needs and recommending products and services to match those needs
- Greeting customers and initiating dialogue to determine their banking needs
- Routine accepting of deposits and payments, disbursing cash, and end-of-day settlement
- Selling official checks and redeeming US Savings Bonds
- Taking personal ownership of any customer problems to see that they get resolved
- Directing customers to various departments of the bank when requests are not normally handled by tellers
- Adhering to cash drawer limits and transferring excess cash to Vault Teller
- Ordering and verifying cash received from Vault Teller
- Adhering to check cashing guidelines, teller expectations, and all other bank policy and procedures
- Giving account balances and other transactional history to customers when requested
- Answering telephones and directing calls to proper person
- Admitting customer entry to safe deposit box when platform staff are busy
- Completing Currency Transaction Report (CTR) for all necessary transactions
- Assisting with night deposits and those received by mail (dual control)
- Other duties as may be assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
The qualified candidate is someone who enjoys working with the public, has 1-2 years of cash handling experience. Previous Bank Teller experience a plus.
