Rosewood Family of Companies is currently seeking an experienced payroll specialist to assist in processing multi-company payrolls. We are looking for a skilled professional who will ensure accurate processing and recording of wages across several states. We have a hybrid system that utilizes an in-house cloud-based information system that prepares data to be processed and paid by ADP. This person will also assist where needed in various HR or Accounting functions as needed. Approximately 75% of the time will be devoted to payroll functions. This role is an in-office role.

Responsibilities

• Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
• Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
• Understand and apply proper taxation of employer paid benefits
• Process correct garnishment calculations and compliance
• Execute time and attendance processing and interface with payroll
• Perform compliance for unclaimed property payroll checks
• Process manual payroll checks as needed
• Research payroll file issues and contact appropriate parties to ensure proper resolution of the concerns
• Review and reconcile computed wages to ensure accuracy of payroll
• Audit and fund weekly expenses
• Assist Human Resources or Accounting Department with special assignments
• Communicate with various levels of management as requested, including preparation of daily/weekly reports for management
• Prepare worker’s comp reports for submission to carrier
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School degree or equivalent
• Intermediate skill level in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Adobe
• The ability to utilize the internet for corporate reporting requirements
• 2 or more years payroll/accounting experience
• Outstanding customer service and teamwork
• Previous experience with ADP software
• 1-2 years of multi-state payroll functions
• Excellent follow up, organizational and communication skills
