SUMMARY: Process and oversee the payroll life cycle and maintain accurate employee records.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and submit biweekly payroll in ADP.
  • Collect bank information for direct deposit setup.
  • Process garnishments and child support orders.
  • Maintain and document all payroll records.
  • Reconcile the general ledger against payroll transactions.
  • Process monthly benefit billings with carriers.
  • Prepare Quarterly and Annual tax filings for Federal and State
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns.
  • Prepare reports for Finance, leadership team and other various teams.
  • Assist with related special projects and other duties, as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field with 5 years of payroll experience in a large company preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:

  • Knowledge of taxation regulations and multi-state payroll requirements.
  • Knowledge of accounting and payroll software.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.
  • Knowledge of advanced Microsoft Office tools, such as Excel.

  • None.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, talk, hear, use hands to fingers, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance and stoop.
  • Occasionally required to lift and /or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Required to use close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.
  • Physical presence at company workplace required.
