Job Title: Payroll Clerk

Location: Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33418

Duration: 6+ months

Temp to Hire (Highly possible)

The position is mostly in office but there is opportunity for flex work.

Position summary:

Perform individual and team related duties including the preparation, audit and data entry of payroll related transactions and pay adjustments; perform pay run balancing functions; provide customer service functions to address pay related inquiries and issues; perform specialized pay related functions as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participates in various strategic payroll initiatives and key projects
  • Resolves payroll discrepancies and inquiries
  • Assure compliance with wage, labor laws, and company payroll policies
  • Supports clients and business partners by providing accurate, relevant, and timely data.
  • Manage, report, and mistake-proof escapes & turn-backs
  • Partners with Payroll Leads, Benefits and HR business partners and select vendors
  • Operates as an extension of the Payroll Governance organization, promoting a “One Team” environment to business partners and vendors
  • Collaborates on, coordinates, and successfully executes all payroll benefits tasks related to Annual Enrollment and Year-End activities
  • Responds timely and accurately to audit requests, escalated issues, aged items, and reconciling accounting items

Education:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • In-country equivalent payroll certifications/qualifications are a plus

Experience:

  • ADP experience preferred
  • Advanced analytical skills/systems analysis capabilities
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-starter able to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
  • Demonstrated capability to work across functions/organizations
  • Strong organization skills
  • Detailed/analytical skills (high attention to detail)
  • Ability to work under changing priorities and with firm deadlines
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (excel, word, etc.)
  • Team Player
  • Ability to work with sensitive and confidential data
  • Process improvement methodologies is a plus

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour

Physical setting:

  • Office

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33418: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

  • Payroll: 2 years (Preferred)
  • ADP: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Paychex: 1 year (Preferred)
