The Payroll Accounting Analyst will collect, compile, and analyze HR and Compensation data, metrics, and statistics. This role supports the Payroll administration functions of the Bank, including incentive calculation processes and general ledger posting of multi-state payroll data.

Specific Job Functions:

· Collects and compiles HR and Compensation metrics and data from a variety of sources including the human resource information system (HRIS) and payroll outputs, employment records, government labor statistics, competitors’ practices, and other sources.

· Prepares reports of data results, presenting and explaining findings to leadership.

· Ensures compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices.

· Calculates incentive compensation based on metrics from various sources.

· Assists in ensuring the integrity of incentive compensation calculations as recorded in compensation agreements.

· Perform daily posting to the general ledger.

· Prepares entries and performs reconciliation on various general ledger internal accounts.

· Executes regular HRIS/payroll reporting and coordinates as necessary with the accounting team.

· Provides assistance with multi-state tax registrations, renewals, and processing of notices.

· May guide and/or assist with benefit and compensation review and evaluation processes.

· May assist in data collection and analysis in compensation related projects related to salary scales, tile alignment, FLSA analysis, etc.

· Assists in validating data for compliance requirements, such as Vets, EEOC and OFCCP annual regulatory reporting.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and analysis through collaboration.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Responsible for being compliant with all regulations and compliance requirements pertaining to job function.

Job Requirements:

· Knowledge of general payroll accruals and account reconciliation, including general ledger posting.

· Ability to analyze data metrics and execute accurate accounting related calculations.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent accounting systems and spreadsheet skills.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, including advanced Excel proficiency.

· Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS, payroll, and similar employee management software.

· Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

  • Self-starter who is action oriented and possesses a strong sense of urgency.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field or experience in corporate HR or accounting in lieu of degree

· At least three years of experience in general ledger, reconciliation and accounting experience.
