Adalet – a Sand Cast Aluminum Foundry Looking for a Pattern Maker
We have invested $4 million in an upgrade to our Foundry by adding a new DISA machine. We need to convert all our patterns to fit the new machine - hundreds of them and new items being requested all the time. We have been in Cleveland for over 94years.
Can you convert engineering drawings into effective foundry patterns and core boxes?
Can you layout patterns into sections according to shape of casting to facilitate removal of pattern from the mold, including coring, and gating?
Can you check completed patterns for correctness using precision measuring devices?
- Must have prior experience with making patterns for production sand castings.
- Must a have strong understanding of sand-casting pattern fundamentals that includes draft, shrink, gating and riser systems and cores.
- Must have prior experience working with wood, aluminum and urethane patterns and core boxes.
- Must be able to read blueprints.
- Must have ability to run the machines listed below in the equipment section. Must work well independently and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline orientated pattern shop.
Equipment in our Pattern Shop: circular saw, band saw, table saw, panel saw, drill press, lathe, planer, Bridgeport mill, grinders, and sanders
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $32.79 per hour
