Responsible for selling and receiving of parts and accessories. In addition performs in-store customer service, overall organizational promotion, and stocking duties. Promotes and sells products and/or services to meet customer needs.

  • Reads manufacturer parts diagrams to identify needed parts and availability
  • Supplies Service Technicians with parts as required
  • Assists service technicians in selecting parts needed for repairs in process
  • Answers phone calls, providing price quotes and other relevant information
  • Pulls purchased parts from stock and orders parts that are not in stock
  • Verifies receipting-in of shipments and assists with placing Special Order and Stock Orders in their proper inventory locations
  • Notifies the Shop personnel and the customer that ordered parts have been received
  • Works in a friendly, professional and efficient matter when working with all customers, both on the phone and in person as well as with the other departments
  • Assists in keeping parts department clean and orderly
  • Follows up on shortages, hunts backorder parts from outside sources and expedites issues by reporting to the manager
  • Assists with annual physical inventory
  • Keeps counter areas clean and uncluttered
  • Assist in all other areas of the parts department, as needed

  • Experience in a truck/automotive parts department preferred

Parts Counter Person: Issue parts and accessories promptly to technicians from the service parts counter. Track all incoming and outgoing parts for the dealership. Handle incoming phone calls efficiently. Sell parts to meet monthly forecasts. Control files, reference books, and other paperwork at the parts counter. Look up and sell automotive parts to all customers: shop, over the counter, wholesale, via the phone. Take inventory of stock. Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts.

Parts Counter Person: Experience is a plus but not required. Previous experience in retail or customer service in any field is preferred - Prompt and dependable work attendance is required, must come to work and must be on time. Friendly and good customer service skills are required. Must pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, and drug screen. Must be able to lift 30 lbs. Valid driver's license and clean driving record required. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and be a current resident. We are an equal opportunity employer.
