Part-Time Leasing Agent Job at Star Companies, Inc.
Part-Time Leasing Agent:
- Greet and assist existing and potential residents
- Present properties and provided amenities in a positive light to prospective tenants
- Recording and updating details of prospective tenants into computer database
- Documenting work orders and informing maintenance of issues
- Advertising available properties and conducting property tours as part of marketing activities
- Responding to prospective tenant guest cards and inquiries ensure they are handled in a timely manner
- Stay knowledgeable of the property market status
- Completing lease applications and assisting with verification of application information.
- Informing prospective tenants of results
- Negotiate leasing terms and conditions and close deals
- Preparing leasing documents for potential renters using property standards and regulations
- Inspecting properties when tenants take occupation and vacate
- Liaising with tenants to provide information and address their complaints and concerns
- Maintaining and storing documentation securely and effectively
- Keeping residents informed of any changes to rental agreements or upcoming property issues
- Keeping an eye on community and laundry room during working hours
- Accepting rent payments, security deposits and other applicable fees
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Available to work Mon-Fri 10AM-2PM
- Evening and weekend availability as needed
- Able to commute to Independence, MO
- High School diploma, GED, or suitable alternative
- 3+ years’ work experience as a Leasing Agent or similar position
- Proficient knowledge of real estate industry, property management principles and relevant legislation
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Bilingual Spanish and/or French a plus
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
