The Professional Pilot Technology Department of Vermont Technical College invites applications for Spring 2023 (January 17, 2023 - May 12, 2023).

The course to be taught is AER 3030 - Human Factors, Risk Management, & Crew Resource Management.

As professionals in global aviation, pilots must demonstrate resiliency, critical thinking, leadership, decision-making, and stress management. This course allows the student to develop into their personal best as a pilot and essential part of a professional team. Using the latest research and training techniques from airlines and FAA programs, they learn to use threat and error management, single pilot resource management, and crew resource management as integral parts of their training and flying.

3 hours lecture per week

Minimum Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree with Airline or Corporate flight experience. Must be licensed with an Airline Transport Pilot or Commercial Pilot Certificate.

Teaching experience at the college level is preferable.

Salary:
Based on credits previously taught per VSC-VSCPTF Bargaining Unit Agreement.
