About KidzArt

KidzArt is a children’s after-school fine art program that offers children ages preschool-8th grade the opportunity to build upon their artistic skills in drawing, painting, and design. Our art educators provide a safe environment where children of all skill levels can experience the benefits of creative expression.

What We Do.

Our weekly art classes and camps are offered after-school at various locations throughout Wake County. As an assistant art instructor with KidzArt, you’ll use the methods and principles designed and taught by KidzArt to help students take their artistic skills to the next level.

Responsibilities

As an Assistant Art Instructor for KidzArt, you will set up the class, assist the lead instructor with the project, and helping students reach their creative potential.

• Assist the lead art instructor in teaching techniques in drawing, painting, and design to students in grades preschool-8th grade.
• Assist the lead art instructor in managing the classroom according to KidzArt methods and standards.
• Provide a nurturing environment that is fun, exciting, and educational
• Encourage and help children expand their artistic skills.

Qualifications:

• Enjoy working with children.
• Must be willing to travel to various schools in Wake County to teach classes.
• Must be available between the hours of 3:30pm-5:30pm, Monday through Thursday.
• Outgoing and energetic.
• Strong background (work or self-taught) in art (with portfolio examples).
• Ability to attend meetings to plan projects and develop and strengthen skill sets.
• Be able to relate to and teach children of all ages (preschool-8th grade);
• Strong communication skills;
• Must be able to pass a background check;
• Must have own transportation.

Compensation

• Monthly Pay: $600 (Bi-Weekly, $300)
• Hours Per Week: 6
