Parks and Recreation Director – Located in the beautiful hills of Greers Ferry Lake and the Little Red River, the City of Heber Springs is accepting applications for Director of Parks and Rec. This position reports directly to Mayor where they will plan, develop and administer a comprehensive program to provide parks and recreation facilities (including Community Center, Aquatic Center and Ball field Complex) and programs. Markets and promotes all recreational programming at the community center and parks. Manages maintenance, facilities and program activities through full time, part time, and seasonal personnel. Oversees developmental and improvement projects within the park system. Inspects parks in order to evaluate operations. Responsible for all personnel, financial and other administrative functions of the department as well as other duties. Preferred qualifications are a Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience in a Parks and Rec facility. Education and experience combination will be considered.
