The parking ambassador will provide directions and assist customers with useful information on parking, activities and events. This will include providing assistance and information on paying via Digital pay stations and utilizing the Park Mobile parking APP. Work in performed under the supervision of the parking director and his/her designee such as the on-duty parking supervisor. Work requires contact with the public. The employee must be able to exercise independent judgment with minimum supervision. Work is reviewed through analysis of reports, discussion and through customer satisfaction surveys from customers.

Essential Duties

The parking ambassador with patrol designated areas educating customers on parking, local venues and the use of Park Mobile applications. When necessary, Ambassadors will issue citations for parking violations. Employee will be responsible for directing the public to the closest available parking lot when the parking lot is full or congested. The individual will monitor, track and report pay station malfunctions, signs which are down, damaged sidewalks, potholes and any other property related issues. Individual will provide daily written and oral reports for department records and citations. Employee will provide courteous directional information on how to use pay on foot devices and Park Mobile APP.

Knowledge, Ability and Skills

Ability to interpret and apply applicable enforcement regulations, ordinances and other regulations relative to parking and traffic regulation. Ability to enforce regulations fairly and impartially. Ability to provide excellent customer service to the public and strong communication skills with the ability to prepare written reports in a concise and in a thorough manner. Ability to learn the location and specific points of interest, building, public offices and other facilities. Skilled in the operation of radio and ticket writing equipment. Skilled in conflict resolution, de-escalation and interpersonal communication. Individual must be able to handle adversarial and/or irate customers and be responsive to complaints in a courteous, controlled and professional manner. Available to work late night and weekend hours if necessary and work in conditions with exposure to extreme hot or cold weather conditions.

As an Ambassador, you will:

• Work closely with the Parking Manager to provide our client with seamless service and our customers with a positive parking experience. Use tact and professionalism to resolve parking-related issues and concerns.
• Provide courteous and professional service to property management, maintenance team, residents, and retail employees regarding parking and access control daily by:
• Access Controls to parking areas.
• Provide parking enforcement of parking garages and areas. Issue tickets and facilitate the towing of unauthorized vehicles as needed.
• Utilize a handheld device to key license plate information

• Perform light landscaping works
• Consistent interaction with client management team.
• Assist with parking manager and supervisor as needed
• Be proactive and engage the customer with warm welcomes and helpful hints.
• Provide directions and information to local patrons
• Assist customer in paying the pay station and downloading the Park mobile APP.
• Monitor the parking lot for suspicious behavior and notifying security of any suspicious activity.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
