This is at the Anchor Packaging Plant in Marmaduke, Arkansas. We make blown film (food quality plastic wrap). We offer both 10-hour shifts and 12-hour shifts for Cutterbox Packers. The 10-hour shift is 7:30 PM to 6:00 AM. Those on the 12-hour shifts work 3 shifts one week followed by 4 shifts the next week and both 12-hour shifts are on days (6:55AM to 7:00PM).. We do work both holidays and weekends. Extra pay for working nights as well as our recognized holidays. Payday is every Friday with direct deposit or Visa Pay Card.

Our cutterbox packers are expected to perform packer duties and requirements in as safe, organized and efficient manner while delighting customers with quality products. The goal is to pack the finished rolls of plastic wrap into the cardboard boxes per specs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure product packaging requirements according to work instructions, specification sheet, and/or quality docket before packing product
  • Ensure quality checks of product before being shipped.
  • Drop rolls of film weighing between 2.5 and 14 lbs. into cartons at set rate of production.
  • Insert blades, feet and close lid at set rate of production.
  • Pack finished product weighting approximately 3 to 14 lbs. at set rate of production. Three units at time are lifted when packing out.
  • Assist in resolving Box Maker and Wrapper issues including but not limited to jamming up of boxes, wax build-up, threading of wrapper, or other machine issues as directed.
  • Assist with completing changeovers in a timely, efficient manner.
  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Policies.
  • Must be able to communicate with operator and leaders
  • Must maintain good attendance and dependability
  • Must be willing to work overtime when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE ABILITY

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

MATH ABILITY

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
