HENNIKER BREWING COMPANY: Packaging Lead/Cellar Person

Henniker Brewing Company is looking to hire a motivated, experienced and generally awesome person to add to our production team as our Packaging Lead. A little about us: We’ve been brewing beer New Englanders could be proud to drink since 2012. We’re nestled off Old Concord Road just outside of downtown Henniker in Merrimack County, New Hampshire.

This is a full-time, hourly position. Work week is based on a 40 hour schedule, Monday-Friday. Due to the production schedule, incidental overtime may be required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain a clean, orderly and safe work environment
• Maintain quality control and safety standards
• Can beer on our Wild Goose canning line
• Operate keg washer
• Clean/fill kegs
• Pull/palletize orders for our distributors
• Daily and preventative maintenance
• Forklift operation – on site training/certification available
• Work with hazardous chemicals
• Perform various cellar operations
• Set up, operate, and clean can packaging line equipment
• Startup and shutdown of facility processes

Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be 21 years old.
• Must have a strong work ethic and a can-do attitude.
• Must have an interest or passion for working in the craft beer industry.
• Ability to follow directions and problem solve
• Ability to safely operate machinery
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and within a team
• Ability to contribute to positive work environment
• Ability to learn quickly and apply new procedures and skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Proper use of PPE
• Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crawl and crouch.
• Heavy physical work including climbing ladders, pushing pallets of grain, pulling hoses, etc.
• Willingness to work in hot, cold, and wet conditions
• Ability to handle heavy objects safely. Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and routinely maneuver kegs weighing up to 165lbs.
• Ability to safely handle hazardous chemicals in accordance with strict safety protocols

EXPERIENCE IN ANY OF THE FOLLOWING IS PREFERRED

• Beverage industry experience, craft beer preferred.
• Packaging line experience
• Forklift experience

VETERAN PREFERENCE

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
