We are in need of a full time DME technician willing to work in our Irving, Southlake and Ft. Worth locations. Our office hours are Monday – Thursday 8am to 5pm and Fridays 8am to 1pm.

Our ideal candidate is a medical assistant experienced with orthopedics, an athletic trainer, a PT tech, etc.

Why Precision Orthopedics and Sports Medicine? We are an established 9 doctor and 6 mid-level orthopedic practice that was founded in 1992 and have been serving the Irving area ever since. In 2017 we opened a second location in Southlake. We now have also expanded into Ft. Worth, 2 days a week.

Responsibilities:

• Applies and removes casts, splints and orthopedic appliances for the patient to ensure the appropriate level of comfort and fit
• Accurately fits the patient with the size and type of brace and splint needed to produce optimal patient outcomes. Observes patient, recognizes changes in condition and promptly seeks appropriate assistance
• Provide education to patients on the application, use, care and expected outcome for DME products as indicated by the physician instructions and manufacturer recommendations.
• Assist physicians with closed fracture reductions under fluoroscopy

• Assembling and Stocking DME as necessary (Walker, Scooter, etc.)
• Provide wheelchair assistance for patients as needed
• Verifying Patients Insurance and informing patient of their responsibility
• Assist the physician with documentation and ensuring all serves ordered are coded in the EHR and/or Superbill
• Willingness to help out in other areas for the clinic during slower times
• Other duties as assigned.
