GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:

The Organizational Development Specialist will focus on leadership development and the alignment of Professional Development Planning (PDP), succession planning, high potential talent and building career pathing. Additionally, they will create opportunities to support growth to sustain internal promotions. Will perform a variety of tasks with the objective of supporting the training and development systems. This position applies a comprehensive understanding of the organization and advanced knowledge of software programs to assist in the full scope of development of training content from conception to completion. The role requires the development of communication and operations systems to scale development and make it accessible organizationally. The Organizational Development Specialist is responsible for the full scope of training content creation, operational systems, data analysis and reporting. This position works with multiple internal departments/contacts, and prepares reliable, detailed, and accurate development data.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership within the organizational development team, provide the necessary training and coaching to teams across the organization on utilizing the LMS, facilitate training content creation and management.
  • Support in managing organizational development department SharePoint and systems.
  • Lead and provide project management to the organizational development team with content creation by building and fostering relationships with subject matter experts across all departments of the organization. Edits and verifies content and checks for quality and adherence to Think Together guidelines and adult learning competencies before producing.
  • Creation and ongoing support in development of visual tools to support system/process related trainings.
  • Collaborate with other internal departments and regional teams to create both online and in person training content.
  • Develop methods of measuring if performance management aligns with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate and support hiring managers/department leads with creating, managing, and organizing of Induction Plans for Home and Regional Office positions as well as connecting induction plans to LMS Learning Pathways.
  • Create feedback surveys and assessments which evaluate knowledge, skills, and behaviors of training objectives, including facilitation engagement and satisfaction.
  • Provide leadership by holding and attending meetings, trainings, or field visits in office or field and following up on assigned action items as requested; in addition, support the organizational development team to meet deadlines and assigned action items with fidelity.
  • Implement organizational effectiveness interventions supported by competency models.
  • Develop team-building exercises and workshops.
  • Help employees create project timelines and deadlines.
  • Implement major changes in all aspects of operation.
  • Talk with management to identify specific work situations requiring employees to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, and technologies.
  • Resolve conflict within groups.
  • Diagnose potential organizational problem areas.
  • Recommend training and development systems.
  • Create definitions of desired individual or group performance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree preferred in organizational development/organizational leadership/organizational effectiveness.
  • A minimum of 3+ years of increasingly responsible positions in organizations undergoing rapid growth, non-profit experience preferred
  • Ability to think strategically, problem solving agent with strong collaborative and decision-making skills.
  • Proven technical skills and capacity working with multiple software and internet-based resources.
  • Experienced and skilled presenter providing hands-on, interactive training with adult learners.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, comfortable as a change agent providing thought leadership.
  • Knowledge of training and development operations and best practices and LMS.
  • Prior field experience working in an expanded program desired.
  • Previous work experience with Think Together and knowledge of the Organization preferred.
