SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

The Organizational Change Management (OCM) Analyst is responsible for supporting change management initiatives aligned to DT department technology rollouts. This role focuses on the people side of change, including changes to business processes, system adoption, and technologies.

This role supports project teams in integrating change management activities into their project plans and provides direct support to end users. The OCM Analyst takes initiative and collaborates to resolve urgent problems, and acts with limited authority based upon subject matter expertise


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Support change management team’s creation of communication strategies, plans and campaigns, including key communication channels and cadence.
  • Assist with conducting impact analyses, assesses change readiness and identify key stakeholders
  • In partnership with OCM team, collaborates with business partners and DT colleagues in order to provide process solutions to meet user needs
  • Assists in process mapping sessions with business subject matter experts to understand as-is and to-be processes, narratives, gap analysis and roadmaps
  • Create communications and documentation that will be used as part of the transition including document instructions, support procedures, troubleshooting tips, and Knowledge Base articles for Service Desk and Tier-2support teams prior to go-live and during hypercare support periods
  • Evaluates and ensures user readiness, using survey tools and stakeholder interviewing techniques
  • Applies structured change management methodologies and best practices
  • Conducts User Readiness Workshops (UAT, Pilot & Go Live, etc.)
  • May work on special projects for DT Department including supporting IT Communications as needed,
  • Develop training materials (user manuals, Quick Reference Cards, how to videos, marketing videos and e-learning.
  • Support DT All Hands meetings including orchestration of MS Team Live
  • Lead intern acclimation and inclusion program and support employee engagement program

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management, Systems Engineering or other related field with Organizational Development knowledge, or 4+ years’ relevant experience required to satisfy education and experience requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, works well with others in an integrated team environment, and must be self-motivated
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Broad knowledge of multiple computer environments, platforms and technologies and in-depth knowledge of the enterprise’s products
  • Ability to create communication campaigns and messages using multiple communication channels
  • Ability to translate technical issues to non-technical audiences
  • Solid knowledge of change management principles, methodologies
  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations and balance competing demands
  • Ability to assist in the design and facilitation of multiple concurrent workshops and deliver effective presentations
  • Ability to create and document Amtrak’s Project Life Cycle Management (PLM) artifacts and key process steps
  • Solid skills in Microsoft Office 365 including Outlook, MS Teams, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project, Survey Tools

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Bachelor’s Degree plus 2 years of relevant experience
  • Advanced knowledge of communications, multi-media content production, social media, website management, and online learning
  • Work is performed in an office environment
  • May require travel up to 25% of the time
  • Requires on-call status
  • After hours and periodic shift work may occasionally be required

COMMUNICATIONS AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:

  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills


The salary range is $70,500 - $91,360 Org Change Mgmt Analyst. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, internal equity, etc. Depending on an employee’s assigned worksite or location, Amtrak may consider a geo-pay differential to be applied to the employee’s base salary. Amtrak may offer additional incentive and pay programs to recognize and reward our employees, including a short-term incentive bonus based upon factors such as individual and company performance that is commensurate with the level of the position and/or long-term incentive plan compensation.
