Texas State Optical has two new positions open for Optometric Assistants. If you are self motivated and looking to have a key roll in a medical office setting, this could be the ideal position for you. Basic training or experience in any medical assisting, pharmacology or clinical office will be an asset.
In this position you will assist the optometrist in creating an exceptional eye health exam. Your role will be to perform pretesting procedures, including auto refraction, tonometry, visual acuity and documenting the patient's case history.
In addition, you will assist patients with the insertion and removal of contact lens.
It is our goal to ensure optimal vision for all our patients.
It is our goal to maximize the patient's vision benefit plans by providing prescription eyewear that meets or exceeds our patient's expectations..
This permanent fulltime position offers a competitive wage and benefit package,
including paid vacation, paid Holidays and PTO.
The office is closed on Saturdays and Sundays, so you have weekend off.
Office hours are Monday thru Friday 8:45 to 5:30.
Job Requirements Include: Excellent people skills. Computer Literate.
