A Flow Coordinator is responsible for monitoring and assisting with patient flow and scheduling as well as assisting techs/doctors when needed.
**Eyecare Services Partners will now only consider candidates who can verify prior to hire that they either have been fully vaccinated against the Covid 19 virus or have started the vaccine process by having their initial dose before starting in their new position and are committed to completing that process within 30 days of starting work.
Responsibilities:
- Monitoring doctor schedules to stay on-time of patient scheduling
- Assuring fee tickets are printed/correct insurance applied
- Managing flow of patients through the practice
- Helping answer staff questions regarding patients
- Cross training to learn workup/scribing/diagnostics to fill in whenever needed
- Triaging and authorizing Add-On Appointments
- Troubleshooting/notifying appropriate parties of computer/equipment issues
- Organize and assisting technicians with tasks such as tonometer tip cleaning, calibrating tear lab, stocking rooms, etc
- Ordering supplies/inputing orders and packing slips upon delivery
- Assist with faxes/clinical tasks in NextGen/Other Software
- At least two years of experience in a work up position within an ophthalmic practice
- COA or COT certification is preferred
- Knowledge of medical and ophthalmic terminology
- Knowledge of EHR
- Must be willing to travel to other offices occasionally to meet the demands of business
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Be a well-organized, team-player with great attention to detail
- Demonstrate superior computer skills
- Highly energetic with positive attitude
- Must be able to walk and stand for eight hours
- Must be able to type or write legibly in a dimly-lit setting
