Ophthalmic Assistant/Technician Job at Calvert Ophthalmology Center
Busy ophthalmology practice seeks experienced Ophthalmic Assistant or Technician. Duties include documentation, perform routine tests (Tonopen, HVF, A/R, OCT, Applanation), knowledge of electronic medical records, assist surgeon during diagnostic and minor surgical procedures, administer topical medications, prepare procedure and exam rooms, and perform basic triage per specific clinical protocol procedures. Prefer COA or better and must have at least 1 year experience in an optical setting. Hourly pay commensurate with experience and certification.
Pay for 1+ actual years as tech in Ophthalmology begins at higher rate, and COA or other begins even higher. Will match salary for qualified applicant with 2+ years in Ophthalmology plus a signing bonus for 2+ years in ophthalmology (to be paid after probationary period of 90 days].
