GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
This position's primary responsibility is to manage overall operations and is responsible for the effective and successful management of labor, productivity, quality control, and safety measures for their assigned licensed private trade school campus. The Operations Manager will ensure safe and efficient operations. This position will enhance the operational procedure, systems, and principles in the areas of vocational training certification & credentialing programs by (1) identifying and developing employer partnerships for training programs (2) developing trained instructors who meet industry guidelines for specific certification/credential programs, (3) providing ongoing support and oversight of programs and instructors, (4) identifying and developing appropriate funding sources (i.e., grants, business partnerships, entrepreneurial ventures), (6) and providing extensive data management for both instructors and students enrolled into the programs.
The Operations Manager ensures logistics and supply needs are met for ongoing and implemented vocational training certification & credentialing programs for assigned campus. This position is expected to engage with employers within assigned region to be a workforce solution for job seekers and employers by being flexible and efficient in program offerings to meet the community's needs.

This position will work closely with other Mission Services departments to provide the necessary wrap-around support to program participants and make referrals where appropriate.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.ManagesThe Academy operations at assigned campus to ensure appropriate staffing levels, stewardship of organizational resources, and to oversee the daily operations and communication of the assigned campus. Create and sustain student recruitment to ensure enrollment goals are met. This duty is performed weekly, about 30% of the time.
2.Report to and work closely with the Director of Academy and other administrative personnel in identifying new vocational certifications in accordance with labor market information and employer input. 30% daily
3. Develop standard operating procedures for each certification/credential program within assigned industries and uphold each individual involved to those standards, auditing regularly. 20% weekly
4.Train instructors to teach specific courses and/or to teach within a specific industry. 5% weekly
5. Provide supervision and oversight for all team members at assigned campus. 20% daily
6. Provide ongoing support and maintain relationships for programs, partnering agencies, and other
Goodwill employees or departments involved in training programs. 5% monthly
7. Monitor all instructors data input, auditing Goodwills case management system regularly for
accuracy of reporting. 10% weekly
8. Develop and maintain relations with employers, community organizations, and government agencies
to assess need, build partnerships, deliver employer-driven training programs and assess program
effectiveness. 10% monthly
9. Understand and execute awarded grants including planning, implementing, follow-up, attending
ongoing training and webinars for the identified grant, grant reporting, and data tracking, etc. 10%
weekly
10. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a professional manner with
customers, clients, co-workers, and management. 5% weekly
11. Assure the First Impression of the assigned campus is always pristine by ensuring the
cleanliness of the lobby, classrooms, hallways, bathrooms, and breakrooms. 5% daily
12. Conduct research and interpret regulations for industrial standards of vocational instructors; train
instructors in best practices for vocational training of adults. 5% monthly
13. Produce market analysis spreadsheets for labor market information regarding prospective
vocational certification offerings. 5% weekly
14. Develop training objectives, strategies, policies and programs. Direct the implementation of policies
and procedures related to various training and educational programs for employees of the
organization. 10% weekly
15. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Broad knowledge of such fields as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc.
Equivalent to a four year college degree, plus 6 years related experience and/or training, and 4 years
related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and policy/procedure manuals; Ability to effectively
present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the
general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions,
percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, ratios, and
proportions to practical situations.
CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of known variables in situations where only
limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or
diagram formats.

the above would range from $150,000 - $1,000,000.
