Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer and working collaboratively with the Finance President of Finance, the Operations Controller is the lead financial partner for the Chief Operating Officer, Senior Vice President of Operations and the Vice President of Facilities. Responsibilities include preparing and leading monthly finance reviews with the Regional Operations Leads, including mentoring Regional Operations Directors, assigning/maintaining action item lists and assisting with the development and successful completion of profit-enhancing initiatives.

The Operations Controller will also be responsible for developing monthly/weekly/daily KPIS, dashboards and flash reports and will actively participate in the monthly financial close, including budget vs. actual and trend reporting. The Operations Controller will also act as the finance lead for operations in preparing the annual operating plan and periodic forecasts.

Other responsibilities include maintaining/updating the 13-week cash flow forecast, cash requirements for De Novo build out, financial modeling and building De Novo proforma P&Ls

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Partner

  • Lead monthly/quarterly Regional Financial Reviews
  • Assist the Chief Operating Officer & Senior Vice President of Operations in identifying revenue/EBITDA enhancement initiatives and executing these plans to improve financial results
  • Attend RD meetings and act as finance liaison with operations
  • Develop dashboards/KPIS/metrics to enhance visibility of operations financial performance
  • Develop proformas to support new clinic expansion
  • Provide routine and ad hoc financial modeling to support the Vice President of Facilities

Cash Flow & CAPEX Subject Matter Expert

  • Maintain & enhance the Company’s 13-week cash flow process
  • Provide monthly cash flow reporting on De Novo activity
  • Monitor and report on weekly/monthly cash collections results
  • Provide monthly CAPEX management reports

Financial Close

  • Provide monthly financial close support (budget vs. actual, trend) for clinical sites to determine appropriate accounting
  • Assist with preparation of the monthly Finance Review presentation

Other duties and tasks may be assigned from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business management, finance, accounting, economics or engineering
  • MBA is preferred and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a plus
  • A minimum of five-years’ experience as a finance business partner or equivalent, for a multi-entity organization with annual revenues of at least $100 million
  • Experience with healthcare services, preferably behavioral health
  • Experience with highly leveraged private-equity ownership structures
  • Strong system skills, particularly with excel, databases (Access & SQL) and reporting tools
  • Experience working with Sage Intacct or comparable systems
  • Experience with high-growth business entities
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills.
  • High integrity and transparency
  • Excellent organizational, research and analytical skills
