This is an open-track, open-tenure, academic appointment in the Department of Cell Systems & Anatomy (http://uthscsa.edu/CSB/) with possible joint appointments in other departments based on similar multi-disciplinary research missions. We seek an outstanding investigator with an established independent and vibrant research program seeking to expand their program and collaborate with others in cancer biology, neuroscience, aging, metabolism or stem cells, and regenerative medicine. Candidates must hold a Ph.D., M.D., D.D.S., or equivalent degree. Tenure and rank will be determined based on experience and achievements. We encourage candidates with multiple federal grant awards and strong academic credentials (e.g. high-impact publications and international recognition). The successful candidate will mentor graduate students and/or postdoctoral fellows and potentially provide research experiences for residents and medical students.
