Mid-Shift & Weekends Engineer - Long-term opportunity

Full-Time - must be available to work Saturday/Sunday

The Role

  • This role will provide IT Helpdesk support to ensure that staff are supported when the administrative offices are closed.
  • This position handles the reactive support issues that come into the IT Helpdesk queue during the shift and provides excellent IT service to staff and guests.
  • Implementation of proactive technology solutions through design, research, and deployment is also expected.
  • The applicant should be versed in current cyber security approaches, cloud infrastructures, Azure Active Directory and on-premises AD, Office 365 platforms and related enterprise tools.
  • This role requires initiative and excellent self-management skills.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills are critical in this role. This includes writing documentation, coordinating within the team and across departments, presenting technical solutions and managing end-user expectations.
  • Must work well in a production-oriented environment and have the ability to manage mission- critical and time-sensitive situations around live events.

The Responsibility

  • Monitor the IT Helpdesk support queue and assist staff as needed with their technology questions and issues
  • Research, design, build, and support technology solutions
  • SharePoint design and administration using Microsoft power apps such as BI and Flow
  • Azure AD and O365 administration including any related productivity cloud applications
  • VoIP and video conferencing support
  • Routine network support
  • Mobile device management and administration
  • Ensure department policies and procedures are followed

The requirements and skills

  • Communication and problem-solving skills
  • At least 5 years minimum, in an enterprise technical role or IT support position BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience

Expertise in:

  • Full project lifecycle and all its phases Scripting (PowerShell, Python, etc)
  • SharePoint and related power tools and plugins
  • Microsoft Azure AD
  • O365 platform including Flow and Power BI
  • Multifactor Authentication techniques (SSO, OAuth, etc.) Microsoft licensing model
  • Apple and Windows OS
  • Enterprise Video Conference and Collaboration (Webex, Zoom, Skype for Business)
  • Agent based remote support tools

Knowledgeable in:

  • Software as a Service, Infrastructure as a Service, Platform as a Service Zendesk
  • Adobe Creative Cloud applications
  • VoIP systems
  • Enterprise network environments including Wi-Fi and Mobile Enterprise A/V including Crestron
  • Point of Sale systems
