Job Opening Summary
Gathers pertinent patient information so patients can be scheduled, verified/authorized and pre-registered prior to initiation of rehab services. Assists with verifying insurance or other third-party coverage, obtaining pre-certification, coordinating financial issues with internal and external departments and resolving or referring non-financial concerns of the patient to the appropriate department or agency. Enters data into computer systems.
Job Opening Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- Graduate from high school or equivalent.
- Computer skills necessary, including, but not limited to, word processing.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a medical setting preferred.
- Experience in a rehab setting preferred.
