Opportunity

Are you someone that is energetic and detail oriented? If so, then the position of Office Attendant for the Housekeeping department at The American Club is for you! You will utilize your commendable work ethic and attention to detail as you play an integral role in maintaining The American Club's high standards.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Ensuring that the office is open and staffed daily
• Logging phone calls into daily phone log
• Enter In Room Dinning orders as required and communicate of guest requests
• Running Housekeeping (morning/evening) reports
• Reporting all maintenance requests to the Room Technicians or to Maintenance Dispatch and following-up on work orders
• Maintaining an accurate inventory of irons, cribs, cots, guests’ special request items, etc.
• Recording all call-ins on the schedule and on the Late/Sick sheet, communicate to Housekeeping Leadership
• Creating master Housekeeping board
• Ensuring that all guest rooms are recorded as inspected prior to 4:00 p.m.
• Maintaining order in the Housekeeping office throughout the day, minor straightening, cleaning and vacuuming
• Assisting in creating amenity packages, Turndown amenities and towel folding for celebrations
• Being fully knowledgeable of personal procedures and their role as it relates to hotel policies and procedures

This is a Part Time position working weekdays & weekends. Shifts are primarily 2:00pm to 10:00pm.

Skills/Requirements

• High School Diploma is preferred
• Prior hotel/lodging experience preferred
• Candidate must have good computer/typing skills, and be able to speak and communicate clearly and effectively
• Candidate must speak, write and understand English
• Must be an articulate and perceptive individual able to foresee potential shortcomings and prevent problems
• Physical Requirements: sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds
