Position Title: Office Administrator/Human Resources

Salary/ Hourly: Hourly


General Summary

The Office Administrator is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the administrative office functions, coordinating plant personnel matters, compliance with HR government and corporate regulations, and compliance with accounting policies. Works under immediate supervision; relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform functions of the job.


Requirements Knowledge

  • Minimum high school diploma with experience in administration/accounting
  • Minimum one years of experience in office administration or related areas, financial acumen preferred.
  • Working knowledge in the use of computer and business-related software, including Microsoft applications (Excel, Word and Outlook)
  • Working knowledge of various office equipment (computer, scanner, etc.)
  • Bilingual, a plus but not required

  • Ability to maintain and safeguard confidential and sensitive information.
  • Ability to successfully communicate with all organizational levels using phone, email, video calls, and face to face.
  • Ability to work hours mandated by management, including periodic overtime.
  • Ability to pass a drug test.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinator for the plant’s weekly financial management reports and functions.
  • Works closely with plant management to assist with their staffing needs to include:
          • Posting jobs and screening applicants
          • Managing temporary agencies and employees
          • Compliance with pre-employment drug test screening
          • Coordinating interviews
  • Oversees new hire and orientation process, including benefits enrollment and set-up Employee Self Service system.
  • Ensures time and attendance system is accurate and submits hours to the Payroll department on-time for processing.
  • Identifies, researches, and resolves administrative problems and opportunities.
  • Assists with accounting functions in accordance with established procedures and Company policy.
  • Reviews Internal Control Checklist with Management
  • Distributes and posts information throughout the office and the plant as necessary.
  • Ensures all personnel documents are scanned into company personnel management system and filed into the employee’s personnel file.
  • Coordinates periodic inventories.
  • Performs other duties as required.
