About the Job: We are currently looking to hire a Nutrition Scientist based in Louisville, CO or White Plains, NY!

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Collating and analyzing nutritional data to support product innovation and renovation targets aiming to increase nutrient density in the portfolio, as well as assessing the impact of including Danone categories in US dietary patterns.
• Monitoring and critically evaluating the current scientific literature for new and emerging information in health and nutrition that would impact product profiles or claims and creating reports of new and emerging science and public health policies.
• Effectively communicating nutritional data across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborating cross-functionally to support nutrition initiatives which may include scientific review of nutrition opportunities, translation of science to product opportunities, development of programs to support internal nutrition education.

The base compensation range for this position is $72-107k (commensurate with experience). About You:

• You have general knowledge of and are passionate about nutrition and the role of food in health and enjoy communicating the importance of nutrition and food for good health
• You have a background in nutrition, dietetics, food science, biostatistics, epidemiology, or similar related field at a Masters level (PhD preferred)
• Ideally you have prior experience within the food industry (not a requirement)
• You have excellent analytical skills and are very comfortable collating and analyzing nutrition data. Prior experience analyzing nutritional intake from large population studies such as NHANES preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to develop effective working relationships
• Strong competency with Microsoft Office software particularly Excel with ability to create formulas, pivot tables, and other more advanced functions.
• You can critically evaluate science and drill down to actionable and differentiated concepts to guide future product development. You have knowledge of clinical research design and evaluating strengths or limitations on clinical nutrition data
• Knowledge of the regulatory landscape within the US as it relates to claims on food products is preferred.
