Job Summary


In this position, you will provide lead responsibility for ensuring implementation of the USDA Federal National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs, Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) and other complementary initiatives, like Team Nutrition and Farm to School. Duties will include:

  • Determine compliance with regulations through the implementation of desk and on-site compliance review sessions for participating organizations and school statewide;
  • Recommend corrective action and provide individualized technical assistance to sites to ensure improvement and/or recommend termination from participation;
  • Provide technical assistance and program training to assist programs in achieving compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, policies, guidance, instructions and procedures through the design and implementation of appropriate written materials and informational workshops;
  • Deliver USDA Program and Nutrition Education training.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

4 years of professional dietetic/nutrition type work experience in nutrition, health, foodservice, USDA or FDA Nutrition Programs

OR

A bachelor's degree plus 3 years of professional dietetic/nutrition type work experience in nutrition, health, foodservice, USDA or FDA Nutrition Programs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with USDA school nutrition programs
  • Experience creating and/or giving training
