Nurse, Remote Care Team Job at Florence

Florence California

Title: Nurse, Remote Care Team

Company Background

Florence Health is a next-generation Primary Care Providergrowing rapidly in towns and cities around the country. Named after the legendary nurse Florence Nightingale, Florence was founded in 2019 with a simple mission: to serve the patient, above all else. Florence is currently available to Medicare patients exclusively, and operates fully at risk for all of our patients' outcomes and spending, enabling our clinics to invest in the delivery of added benefits, services, and staffing that are not possible in a fee-for-service environment.

Florence's relentless focus on patient satisfaction and care results, through our platform of medical professionals, staff, technology, and premium modern clinic spaces designed from the ground up, has earned us a reputation with our patients for going above and beyond on every facet of service delivery - from the front desk to the exam and follow-up experience, and everything in between.

The Role

Florence is currently hiring for key nurse leads for our Virtual Care Team. Key to Florence’s successful delivery model is this virtual clinical staff -- full-time RNs and MAs who work co-located in centralized, high-tech offices and are responsible for driving key clinical activities across all of our locations. This team works remotely behind the scenes and around the clock to support our patients, and is responsible for a majority of our clinical and operational functions.

Florence's Virtual Care Team leads the preparation and follow-through for all of our patient-provider encounters, closes gaps on referrals/study follow-ups, drives triage for all inbound/outbound patient emergent needs, and executes a variety of other complex data-driven tasks that are critical to making sure we provide the care our patients deserve. The role also requires an on-call schedule for our Urgent Response Nurse phone line.

Within our Virtual Care Teams, Nurses oversee teams of Medical Assistants in these processes and in this capacity have a significant level of leadership and responsibility within the Company. The responsibility requires clinical experience and judgment, an appreciation for leading, collaborating with and developing staff, and strong organizational and analytical skills to drive operational success and continuously improve processes.

What we’re looking for:

- Nursing certification(s), with 5+ years of clinical experience post-graduation and strong developed clinical judgment

- An appreciation for leadership roles, and an embrace of teamwork, communication and the opportunity to foster and develop bright Medical Assistants

- Self-accountability, as well as the ability to identify your team members' strengths and weaknesses and help them develop and grow overtime

- Strong organization and analytical skills -- this role is extremely rigorous, and these skills are critical to designing and scaling successful team processes in order to drive operational success across various patient health and satisfaction outcomes

- Positive energy, while not turning away from recognizing difficult problems or high-impact situations/processes that need to be improved

- Intrinsic motivation and values, including accountability and ownership for the medical assisting responsibilities and expectations.

- A desire to be a part of company whose business model is based on high-quality primary care and empirical patient outcomes.

Why Florence?

Florence Health employees are united in our quest to improve the health and well-being of our patients, and we empower each of our team members to fulfill this mission and reach their full potential regardless of function, geography, or experience level.

To this end, we offer:

- Leading compensation packages at all levels throughout the Company

- Covered medical, dental, vision, and disability insurance plan options

- Sponsored 401(k) plan, with up to 5% matching contribution

- Paid Time Off and Paid Sick Leave, along with additional case-based categories of leave (e.g. parental leave)

- Work-from-home options when applicable

- Monthly company-wide “virtual happy hour” encompassing all clinics, corporate offices, and work-from-home team members
