Assists and supports the New Goods Manager on the daily routines associated with the new goods program. Assists with interviewing vendors to learn about their products. When needed, attends webinars, trade shows, and conferences to learn about new industry trends. Assists with delivery and account information for all of the Goodwill stores. Maintains and reviews records of items, margins, UPC’s, and sell-thru data. Assists with developing planograms for all the Goodwill stores for visual merchandising of new goods. Assist with researching product and display ideas to increase overall sell-thru and new goods net income.

Wage: $19.50/hr.

New Goods Programs:

• Assist with managing all campaign buys, data entry of items, product codes, descriptions, and prices into Sodium POS.
• Manage store-related questions and “items not found” using distribution list
• Assist with monthly replenishment ordering for store locations
• Attend or assist with select tradeshows, as needed.
• Assist with managing freight split program from vendor to stores

Requirements

• Trained in use of industry equipment (Forklift/Baler/Compactor)
• Established contacts in the industry of new goods
• Must have good driving record and valid driver’s license

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move independently or with reasonable accommodation within the facility and community.
• Applicant must be physically and mentally able to perform all job requirements.

Experience

• High School/Equivalent
• 3-5 years
• Previous experience in thrift retail and/or buyer
