Mortgage Servicing Supervisor
Qualities of a successful candidate include:
- A minimum of a 2-year degree, three to five years of related experience or a combination of both.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude are essential.
- Must be an extrovert type personality who likes dealing with all types of individuals.
- Must understand the features/functions of the Encompass loan documentation software packages and Precision loan accounting software (LAS) and ensuring the accuracy of information entered in these systems for loans.
- Regard for important details to assure accuracy in every transaction performed, detect errors and follow through on corrections and details.
- Respond sensitively to the needs and priorities of the customer; recognize and take appropriate action to meet their needs and establish an effective working relationship with customers to gain their respect and loyalty.
- The ability to express thoughts and ideas in a clear and concise manner, both orally and in written form to a variety of audiences and to all levels of staff.
- Must be a self-disciplined person who can multi-task and work under stress and pressure.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, including contacts with all Bank staff.
- This person must represent and promote a positive image of the Bank throughout the community through involvement and/or participation in community, civic, and charitable organizations, and agencies.
- Must be trustworthy and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Responsibilities of this position
include (but not limited to):
Loan Accounting System (LAS)
- Strong understanding of the Precision (LAS) system with expectation to confer with VP of Operations on items outside of knowledge base. This will include such things as: payment posting, paying escrows, investor reporting, loan maintenance, and payment maintenance.
Loan Policies and Procedures
- Draft Mortgage Servicing policies and procedures as needed help the Bank monitor and control performance in the loan accounting areas.
- Train affected staff on Mortgage Servicing policies and procedures.
Supervision and Management
- Oversee Mortgage Servicing staff including daily scheduling, problem solving, hiring, training, regular staff one on ones including bringing any potential employee issues to the attention of the VP of Operations, annual reviews etc. This person must have the ability to assist the VP of Operations in setting targets, developing action plans, and measuring results against the defined target dates.
Loan Administration Support
- Answer incoming telephone calls from branches and assist them with resolving their problems and answering their questions as needed.
