Position Overview
Position Requirements
As a Mobile Application Developer – you will be working on industry leading mobile front end for real time asset tracking system. This will encompass mobile app development most utilizing Xamarin (C#) integrated with .NET API. This is foundation role where you will largely influence the direction of and have ownership of product and you will have immediate impact on the business. The technology stack is .Net/C# and azure and also the responsibilities include designing, developing, testing and supporting Lowry mobile application products installed at large scale, highly complex and proprietary clients’ environment. The Mobile Application Developer will work in a high-paced team environment supporting ongoing projects and existing clients web applications. Candidate must also have experience developing in Apple iOS, Microsoft Windows Mobile or Google Android development platforms for rugged handheld devices, smartphones, tablets and other mobile devices. Domain-knowledge and field expertise in automotive, manufacturing and logistics is essential to communicate and work with stakeholders and end-users

- Collaborates with customers and project team to transform business requirements into functioning software
- Works with project team including architect, infrastructure, security, and other corporate teams to provide end to end solution and support plan.
- Evaluates customers’ requirements and enhancements requests, follow our change management process and proposes solutions with careful consideration of cost, impact, standards, and compatibility to with other systems
- Assists in the collection and documentation of user's requirements, development of user stories, estimates, testing strategies, and work plans
- Applies advanced level understanding of current and future technology architecture and integrates this knowledge into design, problem solving, planning, and strategic technical roadmaps
- Experience integrating off the shelf solutions and custom development projects
- Mobile application development including back-end development to User Interface Enhancements and integration with API.
- Plan programming projects by confirming program objective and specifications
- Single page application (SPA) development using client-side frameworks such as Aurelia and AngularJS
- Unit testing experience and exposure to User experience and Progressive Web Apps -PWA’s
- Experience working in an agile team environment
- Familiar with various design and architectural patterns
- Experience with modern development trends and able to act as a mentor to other developers
- Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Visual Studio Team System VSTS / Azure DevOps, TFS and Git
- Familiarity with continuous integration
- Experience writing clean, readable code conforming to coding conventions & standards
- Native Android Development
- Performing Research on best practices, tools, frameworks – Multi App User Interface (MAUI) and preparing POC (Proof-Of-Concepts), prototypes and proposal to embrace cutting edge technologies
Technical Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience with custom data driven mobile and/or web application development using C#, .Net framework, .Net Core, Xamarin, JavaScript, Bootstrap, CSS, HTML5 and other languages or frameworks, Xamarin, C#, .NET, iOS, Android
- 3+ years of experience using T-SQL with an ability to write SQL queries and stored procedures
- Working experience with version control tools, such as VSTS / Azure DevOps, TFS and Git
- Working experience deploying on Azure
- Full life-cycle development in an enterprise development environment
- Strong experience implementing SOAP or REST services
- Ability to extract, transform, and load data from many sources and file types
- Experience in cross platform, hybrid and native mobile app development
- Object oriented design skills
- Android Mobile / Visual Studio 2017 etc.
Other Skills and knowledge
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong service orientation
- Strong documentation and detailing skills - MS word, MS excel, WiKi
- Must be able to work directly with end users and business partners
- Functional knowledge of full project development lifecycle and ability to validate that software performs to established guidelines
- Ability to develop requirements for applications based on user input and needs
- Ability to work independently while remaining a strong and collaborative team member
