Job Description
The Independent School seeks a progressive-minded educator who understands student-centered learning. We seek an energetic English Language Arts instructor who embraces an individualized approach to teaching. Courses taught include English required courses for grades 5 through 8, with opportunity for other elective options. The ideal candidate will be capable of delivering quality instruction to highly engaged learners, as well as reluctant learners.
This position requires an adept use of technology to deliver instruction in face-to-face environments, as well as asynchronous and synchronous online environments.

Qualifications

Degree in Education, English, or other related field

Experience teaching English or a relevant field

Knowledge of, and an appreciation for independent school education

Excellent communication and organizational skills
