With our Agency's mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.

This position is located at Aiken Barnwell Mental Health Center/Barnwell Office 916 Reynolds Rd. Barnwell, SC 29812.

Job Purpose

Under limited supervision, provides evidenced based services (safe, effective and measurable) to promote and support the recovery of persons with mental illness. Guides patients in development of skills or strategies toward achieving and maintaining good mental health.

Job Functions
1.Maintains a bill-time rate of 860 hours annually.
2.Ensures patients are seen in accordance with their needs.
3.Completes clinical documentation using collaborative documentation.
4.Ensures patient functionality is measured by the DLA-20.
5.Participates in clinical supervision, treatment team meetings, pursues professional development, and demonstrates effective use of social and interpersonal knowledge and skills and demonstrates an understanding and appreciation of individual and group differences and similarities. Effectively utilizes and maintains
certification of evidence based practices. Attends treatment team meetings and provides consultation regarding complex cases as appropriate.
6.Reviews caseload weekly for timely discharge, engagement, transition and follow-up.
7.Completes documentation according to QA/SCDMH standards, Complies with Corporate Compliance Policy and Risk Management Plan, and Ensures timely completion of prior authorizations.
8.Performs other duties as needed


A master’s degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field.
