Utopia is a fast-growing behavioral health clinic and substance abuse facility in Greenbelt and Waldorf, MD is seeking motivated and passionate therapists and counselors who are willing to work and join our Outpatient Mental Health Clinic.

In this role, the Behavioral Health Clinician is responsible for assessment of clients including the development, evaluation, and modification of the plan of care. The clinician interprets and performs complex patient care procedures specific to their area of expertise, sets objectives and goals for treatments and develops treatment plans in conjunction with the medical director, implements and monitors treatment plan.

Clinicians provide individual or group treatment, such as psychotherapy, supportive therapy or crisis intervention on a long term or short-term basis. This position consults with family, community and external health agencies to obtain information and to coordinate therapy, and to help clients utilize resources of agencies. Maintains client charts and records, including evaluation, progress notes, individual treatment plan, medication logs, order sheets, and discharged summaries.

Clinician assesses the clients needs, develops treatment plans, and prepare reports on clients referred by other therapists.

Qualifications:

1. Requires at least a master's degree from an accredited school

2. Licensure for independent practice by a Maryland professional board

3. Previous clinical experience an added advantage but not required.

4. Basic computer skills required

5. Substance Abuse Counseling: 2 years

Eligible licensure are: LGPC, LCPC, LSW, MSW, LCSW

We are allowing clients to come in per the recommendation of the clinician and client. All client will need to provide proof of vaccination and wear mask at the facility. Client whom are sick within the last 14 days can be scene via Telehealth application.
