Job Responsibilities:

Medical Receptionist will greet patients and visitors with a friendly, positive demeanor while assisting them in an effective, timely manner and ensuring the office runs smoothly by following all policies and procedures.

Status: Full Time/ M-F/ No weekend/ No Holiday

Medical Secretary/ Receptionist Essential Functions:

  • Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting them in person or on the phone.
  • Assists patients with the check-in and check-out process.
  • Addresses patient inquiries by assisting or directing them to the appropriate person.
  • Ensures all required patient information is obtained and entered into eClinical Works at every visit.
  • Works diligently to ensure all co-pays and patient balances are collected at the time of service.
  • Protects patients’ rights by maintaining strict confidentiality of personal and financial information.
  • Communicates well with the clinical staff in order to ensure patients are seen timely.
  • Assists in scheduling patients in person or over the phone to ensure the needs are met for both the patient and the provider.
  • Maintains all financial related items such as petty cash logs, daily reconciliations and all other required reporting.
  • Travels to multiple office locations.
  • Flexibility in regards to work schedule.
  • Performs various other tasks as assigned

Medical Secretary/ Receptionist Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience as a medical receptionist role highly preferred
  • Electronic Health Record (EHR) experience preferred
  • Effective verbal communication
  • High level of professionalism
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Telephone skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Attention to Detail
  • Patient scheduling abilities
  • Multi-tasking abilities
