Medical Billing Specialist

Our Billing Department excels on a high level of accuracy and outstanding attention to detail to thrive in the job. Our revenue billing specialists also possess a high level of personal integrity to protect confidential patient information. Revenue billing specialists work directly with insurers to resolve billing discrepancies and related issues. We also analyze claims; verify that the patients receiving healthcare services are insured; and make calculations to verify that claim payments match the healthcare services provided to patients.

Job responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Revenue billing specialists must process claims quickly and accurately, and ensure there are no errors or issues in the claim. They may also have to do a bit of administrative work, updating patients' medical files and ensuring that other members of the staff are aware of the changes.
• Revenue billing specialists must support patients in a compassionate, professional and patient manner.
• Mange and resolve high balance payor accounts.
• Work with insurances and patients to determine the method of payment for services provided. This includes administrative duties, such as managing financial and medical records.Revenue billing specialist must have excellent written and verbal communication skills to monitor, audit and bill accounts.
• Work alongside with Call Center Representatives, Patient Care Representatives, managers, physicians, nurses and other healthcare workers in a supportive administrative role.

Minimum Requirements:

• One or more years of billing experience.
• Experience in medical terminology, accounts receivable, insurance collections or billing.
• High school diploma or GED
• Candidates must be able to successfully pass background and drug screen investigations
• Bilingual preferred, not required
