Medical Biller
Reports to: Billing Manager
Location: Remote/Work from Home
Job Overview: Facilitates daily billing functions to include accounts receivable follow up, charge entry, payment posting, denied claims and patient and insurance calls. Position is fast-paced, result-oriented and requires ability to adapt to and work in different systems.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Outstanding claim follow up via online tools and/or calls to payers
- Charge entry with familiarity of CPT/ICD10 radiology coding helpful
- Payment posting, manual and auto, plus credit card processing
- Daily reconciling of all entries (charge or payment)
- Daily billing runs to include review/work of claim edits and rejections
- Denial posting/processing
- Patient calls
- Patient statement review to include address updates and returns
- Medical record requests
Qualifications:
- Minimum five years of experience in medical billing; radiology experience preferred
- Associate Degree or completion of a Medical Billing Certification program preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Adobe Pro
- Strong typing skills with a minimum of 50 wpm
- Strong communication skills to include phone calls, emails and formal letters
- Organizational skills to facilitate frequent multi-tasking
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
