MEDICAL ASSISTANT - Ambulatory Cardiology Services

The Medical Assistant (MA) provides and/or coordinates the delivery of a variety of patient services in Ambulatory Services under the direction of the Practice Manager.
Patient services are both clinical and non-clinical in nature and include direct patient care activities such as taking vital signs and some administrative functions such as data entry and filing.
The MA interacts with patients, physicians, office staff, and hospital personnel. The MA must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Position requires a car.
Schedule:
Hours:8:30-5
Monday-Friday working in Newton with occasional travel to other locations in Needham, Chestnut Hill and Wellesley.
Skills in multi-tasking:
- Requires covering the front desk on occasion
- Self-starter and ability to remain organized
- Strong patient care skills
- Organized and ability to keep pace with schedules.
High school graduate or equivalent. Graduate of a Medical Assistant training program, nursing student, or Paramedic.
A minimum of one-year experience as an Medical Assistant. Preferably in a Cardiology Medical Assistant position.
Strong computer skills required. Demonstrated ability to: Communicate effectively, problem solve, get along with others and confront issues appropriately.
Must be able to speak and understand oral and written communication in English. CPR training required.
