CTP is doing amazing things within our community, and we want you to be part of the challenge. We are currently searching for a dynamic individual to become the MEDICAID QUALITY ASSURANCE LEAD. This position review data provided by our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system and audit coding and billing for patient services. Client data will be used to compile and submit claims to Medicaid, Medicare as well as private insurance companies. Current employees, please fill out the internal application.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Train CIC and Outpatient staff on Medicaid role and on CPT coding of HCPCS, ICD-10, DSM-5 systems.
  • Work closely with Unit Supervisor(s)/Director(s) to ensure:
  • Acceptable quality of insurance billing of patient services.
  • Billing processes comply with insurance contracts as well as state & federal regulations
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently in both oral and written communication.
  • Attend all Quality Assurance Meetings and represent your respective areas.
  • Review daily client records for accuracy and completeness of information.
  • Collaborate with Insurance Coordinator in conjunction with the Clinical & Accounting Teams to review all chart/financial issues with regard to insurance.
  • Units Supervisor(s)/Director(s) will support efforts by ensuring cooperation of clinical staff to achieve acceptable clinical records and billing of Medicaid services.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide oversight, guidance, training and supervision to all the Medicaid Quality Assurance Specialists.
  • Approve time off and time cards in a timely manner.
  • Place orders for staff as needed for supplies and other required needs
  • Ensure each MQAS meets weekly productivity goals.
  • Orient, train and support staff in the use of electronic health records audits and provide ongoing problem-solving communications.
  • Organize and facilitate monthly staff meetings.
  • Work closely with Exec Director of Clinical Operations to meet state and other regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct field-based supervision for the purpose of observing service delivery and identifying areas for program improvement.
  • Ensure all service provisions are completely and correctly completed by established deadlines and in accordance with Medicaid and licensing guidelines.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to discuss service provision and to ensure staff obtain required information and complete administrative tasks (performance evaluations, approve timecards, and others).
  • Perform other job-related duties as directed.
  • Understand and stay current with licensing, Medicaid, human rights and other relevant regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Associate Degree in Health Information Technology

RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician) and/or Associates in Business Administration or Health Information preferred.

Experience
:
Minimum 2 years of experience in Substance Abuse and/or Behavioral Health
experience.

Excel and Word proficiency at the intermediate level preferred.

Experience in billing, especially Medicaid and third-party insurance to include, but not
limited to ICD-10 and DSM 5 and any other coding platforms preferred

Other
:
Valid driver's license and insurability.
