As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you'll play a key role ensuring our manufacturing plant is up and running. You'll repair, install, adjust, or maintain industrial production and processing machinery in one of our key chemical manufacturing plants located in Beaumont, TX.
Key Responsibilites:

  • Support all Environmental, Health, and Safety programs, policies, and regulations
  • Disassemble machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairs.Repair and replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery and equipment to include (but not limited to) pumps (diaphragm and centrifugal), and meters
  • Examine parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear. Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machinery. Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs.
  • Observe and test the operation of machinery and equipment in order to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters and other testing devices. Analyze test results, machine error messages, and information obtained from operators in order to diagnose equipment problems.
  • Use blueprints and manufacturers' manuals to determine correct installation and operation of machinery.
  • Record parts and materials used, and order or requisition new parts and materials as necessary.
  • Demonstrate equipment functions and features to chemical operators.
  • Operational support to test/load waste trucks and silicone tank
  • Conduct daily and weekly PM’s of critical equipment such as cooling towers, DI Water, and boilers
  • This list is not all-inclusive and may include other duties as assigned and necessary for the operation and management of the shift and overall plant.

Core Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
  • 2+ years’ related experience working in a manufacturing maintenance department
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime and weekends when needed. Opportunity to earn more!
  • Ability to operate a fork truck

Other Useful Skills & Abilities

  • Associate Degree (two-year college or technical school)
  • Experience with cooling towers, heat exchangers, boilers, and other fixed equipment vessels. Experience with air compressors, pumps (diaphragm and centrifugal), and other rotating equipment
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills. Good computer & basic math skills
