We’re seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our widely respected and diverse Civil Facilities Division in our Binghamton, Pittsford, or Saratoga Springs office locations.

Successful candidate must be a technically well-versed, licensed P.E., with previous experience in a consulting engineer or A/E/C firm as a Mechanical Engineer; understand HVAC, plumbing and fire protection design, and commercial systems with application in health care, educational, small commercial and industrial projects, to large public and private building engineering projects.

Primary responsibilities include working on all phases of projects such as pre-design scoping, plan design, specifications, project team coordination, construction documents, construction review and inspection, code analysis, client relations and consultant interaction.

Requirements:

· 8 – 10 years of HVAC, plumbing and fire protection design experience in commercial, industrial and institutional building facilities.

· Bachelor's Degree in mechanical engineering and professional licensure.

· Proficiency in Building and Mechanical Codes and Standards, including: IBC, BOCA, ASME, ANSI, ASHRAE and NFPA.

· Sustainable design experience with LEED accreditation a plus.

· Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, REVIT and MS Office.

· Superior organizational and interpersonal skills to work effectively as a team, develop and maintain client relations, meet project demands and schedules.

· Certified Commissioning Professional preferred.
