Mechanic Job at Skipco Auto Auction
**Hourly Pay is Negotiable based on Experience, $1,500 Retention Bonus***
Welcome to Skipco Auto Auction. Ohio’s premier public auto auction. Since 1978 Skipco Auto Auction has been serving local and national buyers and sellers. We have grown over the last 37 years from auctioning cars off in a field, to our modern 12,000 square foot Auction Facility. Running 4 lanes with new and diverse inventory every week. Skipco offers the general public and licensed dealers the equal opportunity to buy at wholesale prices. Including but not limited to cars, trucks, motorcycles, atvs, boats, campers, RV’s and equipment.
A Mechanic for Skipco Auto Auction in Canal Fulton, OH will complete maintenance and/or repairs on Company vehicles and customer jobs as directed by the Service Manager and/or Operations Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Diagnose and quote repairs to vehicles as presented
- Repair vehicles to prepare them for auction
- Repair Company vehicles
- Complete routine maintenance on Company vehicles
- Work Saturday auctions to perform Post Sale Inspections
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned
EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
- Prior education and/or experience in automotive repair
- Preferred experience in diesel tech
- Ability to perform physical tasks as directed
- Attention to detail
- Reliable
- Good attendance record
