Maximo Solution Developer
Projetech is a small, privately owned company located in Cheviot. Our core business is providing Maximo, best in class Enterprise Asset Management software from IBM, as a cloud Software as a Service (SaaS) solution.
Job Description:
- Implement best practice solutions for Maximo Cloud Customers and Partners.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Projetech’s products and services
- Communicate efficiently and effectively on technical subjects to all audiences,regardless of the technical background
- Assess client’s working knowledge and utilization of Maximo
- Support client’s efforts to add value, safety, and reliability to their core business
- Ability to educate and advise customers on solutions that fit within Maximo architecture and anticipate the documented IBM product road map
- Document business requirements from users and stakeholders. Develop requirements into best-practice technical requirements for yourself and others
- Implement SDLC best-practices for all assigned solutions
- Contribute to solution review and change control processes as part of a team of developers and analysts
- Receive or hand off work to others based on workload and timelines
- Accurately estimate, manage, and track your time and to a more limited extent, the time of others
- Participate in after-hours, on-call support for emergency requests on a rotational basis
What you need to bring to the job:
- Develop BIRT Reports
- Modify existing reports based on customer requirements.
- Troubleshoot existing reports
- Develop new reports based on appropriate templates
- Develop Automation Scripts
- Write Jython with appropriate
- Structuring
- Error handling
- Maximo Business Object reference and usage
- Use the Maximo Integration Framework
- Develop integrations with other applications and products using: Web services (REST and SOAP), Flat Files, XML, SQL interface Tables,load new or update existing data in bulk without bypassing Maximo validation
- Debug Java
- Locate and understand IBM documentation of both features and bugs
- Decompile and debug IBM Java classes and architecture
- Create RFE and PMR requests with IBM which have the best chance of success by being fully informed of what IBM is already doing, how, when, and why.
- Educate others on what you know
- SQL
- Understand the Maximo data model
- Write queries which work regardless of organization, site, etc. configurations
- Generate execution plans; optimize and refine queries based on those results
- Working knowledge of indexes, when it is appropriate to add an index, and howto write your own
Education Requirements
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Information Technology
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- Certification in the administration of the IBM Maximo Asset Management product is preferred
- If not currently certified, certification must be obtained within the first year of employment

- Strong communication skills; oral and written
- Ability to prioritize daily tasks in a highly effective manner
- Demonstrated attention to detail and systematic approach to task performance
- Ability to work with varying seniority levels, including staff, managers, and external partners
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Hours and Environment:
Typically, this salaried position requires 40 hours per week M-F 8am-5pm. However, more than 40 hours in a work week may be required for specific deadlines. Three weeks of vacation is earned the first full calendar year of employment. Projetech matches up to 3% into an employee retirement fund and provides a share of company profit plan. Work will primarily be performed at Projetech Headquarters in Cheviot (Cincinnati, Ohio 45211). All offers of employment at Projetech Inc are contingent upon clear results of a background check.
